Saddle Creek Logistics Services is adding a new, 250,000-square-foot distribution center in Jeffersonville, IN to support the growth of a beverage industry client. Slated to open in January 2020, the dedicated facility will create new warehouse jobs in the Louisville, KY area.
“We’re proud to be part of the vibrant Jeffersonville community and look forward to expanding our presence in the area,” said Butch Riggleman, vice president, regional warehouse operations at Saddle Creek. “We’re excited to welcome new associates who share our focus on providing excellent service in a dynamic, collaborative environment.”
Saddle Creek’s expansion will create 20 positions in Jeffersonville, including forklift operators, inventory control associates, customer service representatives and HR coordinator.
The Florida-based company provides omnichannel fulfillment, warehousing and transportation services with the help of more than 4,000 associates nationwide. A company-wide commitment to longstanding core values has helped Saddle Creek to achieve steady growth for more than 50 years.
“It’s a strong area for logistics,” Tom Collins, director of marketing at Saddle Creek, told Louisville Business First. “When we look around the country at places, we look for growth and that’s one of the areas where our clients like to be so that’s where we like to be also. We hire good people that run good operations and deliver good service to our customers and that’s really what we attribute the growth to.”
