Grand Rounds, a company that improves health care by guiding patients to better physicians, is opening a new services and technology center in Reno, NV. The company, which was founded in 2011, is expected to add up to 200 jobs to the region.
“Expanding into Reno is major milestone for Grand Rounds, and the Northern Nevada community has met us with open arms,” said Owen Tripp, Chief Executive Officer of Grand Rounds. “We have already hired many incredibly talented local employees, and we look forward to growing the team rapidly as we pursue our vision of guiding all patients to better health and health care.”
“The diversity within Reno’s growing business community is exciting. Forward-thinking companies in industries such as health care, technology and advanced manufacturing continue to find homes here in The Biggest Little City,” said Naomi Duerr, Reno City Council Member and representative of Ward 2, where the facility will be located. “What that says to me is Reno is becoming a leading city for innovation, entrepreneurship and business success.”
“The health care sector is exploding nationally, so it is exciting to see Reno-Sparks recognized as a great fit for a company like Grand Rounds, a leader in this industry,” said Mike Kazmierski, CEO of EDAWN. “Companies like Grand Rounds will accelerate the transition of this region as a technology center that is attractive to the health care sector and other technology companies in the years ahead.”
