Building Engines, a provider of comprehensive web and mobile property management software for the commercial real estate industry, recently released its 2015 benchmark report, “A Guide to Managing CRE Operational Risk,” detailing results from its recent survey of property owners and managers regarding operational risk in their properties.

Operational_Risk_WorkpageThis benchmark report reflects the broad experiences of CRE professionals and provides comparative analytics to identify noteworthy operational risk management trends; the most common processes for reducing liability and insurance premiums; emergency preparedness best practices and hurdles; and much more.

Findings of the survey include:

  • The top operational risk concern to CRE owners and managers is building incidents.
  • 49% of property management professionals do not conduct Emergency Scenario Training Sessions.
  • 70% of property owners and managers admit their tenants could easily bring in vendors without their knowledge.
