Simmons Foods Opens Arkansas Ingredient Production Facility

The company has invested an estimated $30 million in the project, and expects to create 78 new jobs at the Siloam Springs facility. 

Simmons Feed Ingredients, an affiliate of Simmons Foods Inc., recently celebrated the opening of its 72,000-square-foot ingredient facility in Siloam Springs, AR. Since 2015, the company has invested an estimated $30 million in the facility where it will produce fresh and frozen meat ingredients for pet food manufacturers. The company expects to create 78 new jobs at the new facility.

“This wet ingredient facility is a model for the future of high-quality ingredient production for pet food manufacturers,” said Todd Simmons, CEO at Simmons Foods. “This new facility enables our team here to safely and reliably produce the highest quality, customizable ingredients for Simmons Feed Ingredients’ customers.”

Simmons Foods Inc. produces poultry, pet food and ingredient products. The company is among Arkansas’ largest private companies and employs more than 1,000 people at its Siloam Springs operations.

“Simmons Foods has a long history of investing in Arkansas,” said Mike Preston, executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. “Through the establishment of this new facility, the company is making another significant commitment to doing business in the state. Arkansas has a large presence in food processing and this expansion is a testament to our strength in this sector.”

“Siloam Springs is a thriving city that continues to meet the demands of a new world,” said City of Siloam Springs City Administrator Phillip Patterson. “With this new facility we celebrate new jobs, new opportunity and new growth for this community. We are proud to have Simmons Foods headquartered here in Siloam Springs.”
