Endress+Hauser Building New Facility In Texas

The international automation solution company will build a new 100,000-square-foot Gulf Coast Regional Center in Pearland, TX.

Endress+Hauser has chosen a site in the Lower Kirby District of Pearland, TX for its new Gulf Coast Regional Center. The 100,000-square-foot Gulf Coast Regional Center will include an area for calibration and repair and offer office and training space, including a new state-of-the-art PTU® (Process Training Unit). Located on a 17-acre site on the southeast corner of Beltway 8 and Kirby Drive, the facility will be home to approximately 110 employees, including management, engineering, sales, operations and administrative personnel.

“Our investment in Pearland’s Lower Kirby District shows first and foremost our strong commitment to customers. It means an investment in Endress+Hauser’s dynamically growing U.S. business as well as into the strategic development of the whole Group,” said Greg Miscik, Vice President of Operations, Endress+Hauser. “With the new facilities we can improve our customer services, manage additional growth and expand our competencies in the field of advanced analyzers for the process industry.”

A leader in the field of measurement technology for industrial process engineering, Endress+Hauser manufactures instrumentation and devices and provides solutions and services for more than 100,000 customers worldwide, with more than two million products supplied per year. Founded in Germany in 1953, the company now has nearly 14,000 employees around the globe who develop, manufacture and sell 2,000 products in over one billion design variants depending on customer requirements.

The Pearland Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) and city officials began working with Endress+Hauser and its site consultant earlier this year on the project.

“The City of Pearland is honored to add another esteemed international company such as Endress+Hauser to the list of growing employers that call our community home,” stated Pearland Mayor Tom Reid. “We are excited that they have selected Pearland’s Lower Kirby District as the location for their regional center and look forward to a long partnership between Endress+Hauser and our community.”

The Lower Kirby District is a 1,200-acre mixed-use development in northwest Pearland. The district is home to office, retail, commercial and industrial projects and continues to expand, particularly in the areas of life science, energy and manufacturing. Existing developments within the Lower Kirby District include life science projects such as Swiss-based Lonza’s viral and immunotherapy development and manufacturing facility, the largest dedicated cell and gene therapy manufacturing facility in the world; Merit Medical’s R&D and manufacturing facility; and Cardiovascular Systems, Inc.’s medical device manufacturing facility. Other developments in the District include Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor Corporation’s manufacturing and service facility, Dover Energy’s manufacturing and operations facility, Pearland Surgery Center, and Bass Pro Shop. IMC Group, a Berkshire Hathaway-owned company, is currently building a headquarters and manufacturing facility for one of its companies, Tool-Flo Manufacturing.
