A&R Logistics, Inc. will move from its current 80,000-square-foot warehouse and trucking facility in Jeffersonville, IN to a 175,000- square-foot warehouse and industrial space in the River Ridge Commerce Center. A&R Logistics has committed to a 10-year lease and will invest more than $3.9 million in the facility over the next five years. Plans also call for the full-time employment of 32 new workers in addition to the 38 currently employed.

“After years of significant growth, A&R Logistics, Inc.’s current 80,000-square-foot warehouse and trucking facility in Jeffersonville, is simply too small to meet our projected future development,” said Richard Mitchell, president of A&R Logistics, Inc. “We were happy to find another location in Jeffersonville and are looking forward to moving to the River Ridge Commerce facility, which will be double the size of our current space.”

“Indiana’s stable business climate is encouraging growth here in the Hoosier State,” said Victor Smith, Indiana Secretary of Commerce. “With a balanced budget, triple-A bond rating and corporate taxes on a reduction schedule, companies like A&R Logistics can be assured that Indiana is the best place to expand their business and hire hardworking Hoosiers.”

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) offered A&R Logistics, Inc. up to $300,000 in Economic Development for a Growing Economy (“EDGE”) conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until employees are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives.

Founded in 1969, A&R Logistics, Inc. provides dry bulk transportation, warehousing, packaging, distribution and third-party logistics solutions for numerous multinational companies within the chemical and plastic industries. A&R Logistics, Inc. corporate headquarters are in Louisville, KY, with its commercial headquarters in Houston, TX, and customer service headquarters in Morris, IL.

“A&R Logistics, Inc. is a company that continues to grow and thrive in Southern Indiana and throughout the country with a nationwide network of 25 facilities, a fleet of more than 800 trucks and 1,200 trailers,” said Wendy Dant Chesser, president and CEO of One Southern Indiana. “We congratulate them on their move to a larger facility in the River Ridge Commerce Center and look forward to helping them with future developments and success.”
