Hamilton Partners developed a 181,000 square foot spec industrial building at 720 Northgate Parkway designed for warehouse, distribution, logistics, and manufacturing uses. The project broke ground in April 2017 and was completed in November 2017.
Wheeling Town Center Is A $110 Million Transit-Oriented Master-Planned Mixed-Use Development Project
Wheeling Town Center is a $100 million transit-oriented master-planned mixed-use development to be constructed at 351 West Dundee Road (the former Wickes Furniture site) adjacent to the Wheeling Metra Station.
The developer has targeted warehouse, distribution, logistics and manufacturing uses for the property. The project will break ground in Summer 2017 and be completed in early 2018.
The Class 6b classification is designed to encourage industrial development throughout Cook County by offering a real estate incentive for the development of new industrial facilities, the rehabilitation of existing industrial structures, and the industrial reutilization of abandoned buildings.
The Town Center will feature nearly 100,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space anchored by a CMX premium movie theater, as well as a 294-unit apartment complex with a six-level internal parking deck. CMX’s build-out commitment to Wheeling represents an investment of over $10 million.
The Prairie Crossings shopping center is located in the same complex that also contains the Westin Chicago North Shore hotel, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Devon Bank, and Massage Envy. More recently, the Village has assisted with the addition of Spears Bourbon–Burgers–Beer, PostNet, Subway and a drive thru Dunkin Donuts to Prairie Crossings. Finally, Black Lion Development received approval to construct a new 9,000-square-foot building to contain two signature restaurants.
The purpose of the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District Façade and Building Improvement Grant Program is to provide financial assistance for the design and construction of façade improvements which are in keeping with the Village Comprehensive Plan. The program is funded with revenues generated from the Village’s TIF District(s).
