Wheeling Town Center New Construction and Improvements

Construction has begun at last on Wheeling Town Center, the major mixed-use development on the former Wickes site between the Community Campus and the Metra Station.

The Town Center will feature nearly 100,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space anchored by a CMX premium movie theater, as well as a 300-unit apartment complex with a six-level internal parking deck. CMX’s build-out commitment to Wheeling represents an investment of over $10 million. Their concept includes a well-appointed lounge and bar area, and their theaters offer oversized leather seats.

CMX has brought in one of Chicago’s most successful restauranteurs, Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, to partner with them on food service. Along with other projects underway in the Dundee corridor—including the beautiful 288-unit Northgate Crossing apartment development, which is nearly complete and leasing quickly—the Town Center will continue the transformation of Wheeling’s downtown.
