Saint-Gobain Continues Investment In Georgia And Sustainability

Saint-Gobain continues its corporate expansion and job creation trajectory throughout Georgia, with investments in facilities and sustainability efforts.

Earlier this year, Saint-Gobain celebrated the opening of a new CertainTeed Corners facility in Social Circle. The new facility created 16 new jobs and expanded the company’s presence in the community.

In May 2022, CertainTeed announced it would invest $100 million over the next two to three years to expand its roofing facility in Peachtree City. The expansion will add over 65,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space, more than double production capacity, and reduce CO2 emissions. Over the next decade, the project will be supported by more than $5 million in state and local tax incentives.

“Today marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our plant in Peachtree City – this is an investment in our company’s future ability to supply our growing customer base,” said Carmen Bodden, Vice President and General Manager of CertainTeed Roofing Product Group. “We will continue to look for ways to maximize our company’s positive impact, for our customers and the communities where we operate, while working to minimize our environmental footprint. We thank Fayette County and the State of Georgia for their support.”

Earlier in May 2022, Saint-Gobain ADFORS announced it would invest $28 million in its technical textile products facility in Dublin. The project — supported with more than $12 million in tax credits and incentives from Georgia, including over $1 million in assistance from the Georgia Quick Start workforce training program — will lead to the creation of 400 new jobs.
