One Solutions Logistics Expands in IN

The logistics supply company will grow its operations at Honda's Greensburg plant, creating up to 191 jobs by 2012.

One Solution Logistics of Indiana, Inc., a logistics supply company, announced today that it will expand its operations at Honda’s Greensburg plant, creating up to 191 jobs by 2012.

The company, which is the sole supplier of parts to Honda’s plant in Greensburg, will be hiring production associates, yard drivers, team leaders and managerial support staff to meet the production demands of Honda’s recently announced second shift at the plant.

“Indiana is a national leader in the logistics industry because our workforce is able to quickly adapt as the business climate changes,” said Governor Mitch Daniels. “One Solution Logistics has seen great success in Greensburg and this expansion is a good sign that Indiana’s economy continues to grow.”

One Solution Logistics will continue to employ 169 full-time Indiana employees. The company plans to begin hiring new workers by the end of this month.

“Our growth has come as a result of Honda Manufacturing of Indiana’s success, our ability to perform as a world class logistics supplier and, most importantly, a dedicated, committed workforce,” said Randy Cyman, manager of associate services, One Solution Logistics of Indiana, Inc.

One Solution Logistics was formed in June 2007 to support the manufacturing of automobiles at the Honda Manufacturing facility in Greensburg, Ind. Dedication of its new 391,500 square-foot facility occurred on March 28, 2008.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered One Solution Logistics of Indiana, Inc. up to $125,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans.

“We’re extremely pleased to see One Solution Logistics add 191 new jobs. I also applaud the management of OSL for their dedication to hiring people from Greensburg and Decatur County,” said Greensburg Mayor Gary Herbert.

One Solution Logistics’ decision to expand follows several other expansion announcements in Indiana’s logistics industry. Last month, OHL, a third-party logistics solution provider, announced a $16.7 million expansion, creating up to 415 jobs by 2015. Also in June, General Mills announced plans to open a new distribution center in Allen County, creating up to 65 new jobs by 2012.
