Mohawk Industries will purchase new equipment and expand its manufacturing operation in Carroll County, VA. The global manufacturer of residential and commercial flooring products also considered Alabama for the expansion project, which will retain existing jobs and enable Mohawk to continue supporting consumer demand for residential carpet.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked with Carroll County and Virginia’s Industrial Advancement Alliance to secure the project for Virginia. The Virginia Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission approved $95,000 in Tobacco Region Opportunity Funds. Funding and services to support the company’s employee training activities will be provided through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.
