Metrican Stamping Expanding In Tennessee

The metal components manufacturer will invest nearly $19 million in its Dickson, TN operations to make room for new equipment and increase production capacity.

Metrican Stamping, LLC has announced it will expand its manufacturing operations, creating 104 new jobs in Dickson, TN. The metal stamping and value-added components manufacturer will invest $18.9 million in the project.

“We are pleased to be a part of the Dickson industrial community,” said Metrican Plant Manager Bob Bowen. “We look forward to continuing operations and growth in Middle Tennessee and appreciate the support that state and local government have provided us since our start up in 2005.”

Metrican Stamping is a leading supplier of tooling, stamped metal and value-added components. The company has had stamping operations in Dickson since 2005. Headquartered in Canada, Metrican operates manufacturing and stamping facilities in Canada, Mexico and Tennessee.

With this expansion, Metrican will add 43,000 square feet to its current facility in Dickson County to make room for new equipment and increase production capacity.

“Tennessee has added over 35,000 jobs to the manufacturing sector over the last five years and I want to thank Metrican for adding more than 100 new jobs in Dickson County,” said Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe. “I appreciate Metrican’s decision to expand its footprint in Dickson and I thank the company for its continued investment in Tennessee.”

Dickson County Mayor Bob Rial expressed gratitude to Metrican for its decision to expand in Dickson.

“Metrican is another excellent example of an industry that has thrived in Dickson County and Tennessee,” said Rial. “Dickson County continues to be an industrial hub of the Middle Tennessee region and we look forward to the continued success of our county through announcements such as the Metrican expansion.”
