Hayneedle.com’s Rapid Growth Fuels Ohio Expansion

The online retailer will open its second distribution facility in Monroe, OH, creating more than 100 news jobs.

Hayneedle.com is expanding its operations in Monroe, OH with a 994,000-square-foot fulfillment center. It is the third facility overall for the Nebraska-based online retailer of indoor and outdoor home furnishings and décor, and its second in Monroe.

The new facility will bring over 100 jobs to the area and increase the company’s national fulfillment footprint to more than 2 million square feet. The expansion is not only a testament to the company’s commitment to the city and state of Ohio, but also to Hayneedle’s multi-year plan to meet growing demand, maintain high levels of service to its customers, and support the success of its own product lines.

“Our new state-of-the-art facility is the next step in Hayneedle’s promise of providing the best online shopping experience for the home space,” said Tom Clement, Vice President of Operations for Hayneedle.

The new facility is located just five miles from Hayneedle’s existing 721,000-square-foot Monroe facility, which will allow the company to continue its high level of customer service. The hiring of associates at all skill and experience levels begins immediately; the new facility will open and receive its first shipment in June 2017.

“While we looked at other regional options, growing with the city of Monroe will allow us to continue to tap into the region’s strong talent pool, be good corporate partners to the community, and provide first-class service to our customers, which is our ultimate goal,” said Dave Woods, Sr. Director of Fulfillment for Hayneedle.

“For the past six years we have enjoyed the economic growth Hayneedle has brought to the area and are excited they chose to continue to grow and invest in Monroe,” said William Brock, City Manager of Monroe.
