“FEUER Powertrain’s opening further boosts the state’s position as a leader in the Southern Automotive Corridor while generating so many new jobs for the people of Northwest Mississippi,” said Governor Phil Bryant. “I know the productive workforce found throughout the region will play a significant role in the company’s long-term success in Tunica County.”

FEUER, a manufacturer of crankshafts for the automotive and transportation industry, announced its plans to locate a 156,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Robinsonville in September 2013.

“For FEUER Powertrain the American Dream came true. An innovative and state-of-the-art facility was built on a green field, in the truest sense of the word,” said FEUER Powertrain North America President and CEO Dominic Deig. “We are proud of the fact that despite the usual initial birth pains of a manufacturer, production ramp-up is almost fully completed. It’s a big advantage that we can now respond to the great market potential in North America by serving our customers from a strategic location. Daily, our entire team optimizes the necessary processes to operate such a big company. All in all, we feel that FEUER Powertrain has been very well received in Tunica County, and we continuously strive to make a great contribution to this region in the State of Mississippi with the creation of qualified jobs.”

The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) assisted the project through the Mississippi Industry Incentive Financing Fund for site preparation, infrastructure and workforce training. Tunica County also provided assistance.

“FEUER Powertrain selected Tunica County as the home of its first U.S. location following an intense site selection process — a testament to the state’s supportive business climate and skilled workers,” said MDA Executive Director Glenn McCullough, Jr. “We congratulate the Tunica County Board of Supervisors and our partners at the Tunica County Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Foundation on the grand opening of this state-of-the-art facility.”
