Amazon Announces Three Fulfillment Centers in Texas

Recently, Amazon committed to hire more than a thousand veterans in the U.S. in the upcoming year to join the hundreds of veteran employees it has on staff currently. The Department of Veterans Affairs estimates there are more than 1.6 million veterans in the state of Texas. The company will initially create more than 1,000 jobs at the new Texas fulfillment facilities.
Under the Base Realignment and Closure Commission (BRAC), Fort Monmouth officially closed on September 15, 2011.

CommVault Brings Significant Investment, Job Creation to Jersey Shore

"CommVault has said it will eventually add 2,000 employees at the new site in addition to its current 500 in its current headquarters in Oceanport. The company is bound by an agreement with FMERA to generate up to 225 of those jobs within three years of moving in. If it doesn't, it will face penalties of $3,000 per job not created," writes Christopher Sheldon of the Long Branch Patch.

GM Invests $600 Million in Fairfax, KS Plant

GM opened the present facility of the Fairfax plant in 1987. Currently, 3,877 employees work at the plant, which stretches over 572 acres. The manufacturing area contains 85 acres under its roof and has a pre-construction floor space of 3,044,561 square-feet. In 2012, GM produced 283,213 vehicles at the plant.
