Focus Central Pennsylvania is a regional marketing alliance promoting investment opportunities in seven counties: Mifflin, Centre, Snyder, Union, Northumberland, Montour, and Columbia. Focus Central PA is regionally focused but locally connected to reduce risks and increase the speed of site location decisions and investment projects. Billions of dollars are being invested in Central PA from infrastructure to industry, including a new billion-dollar highway scheduled to be completed in 2027 that will be a major north/south trucking corridor just west of Interstate 81.
Among the recent and notable Central PA industry wins is ENCINA, a circular manufacturer that converts end-of-life plastics into new products. ENCINA chose Central PA for its $1 billion facility, with plans to create 300 local careers.

Country View Family Farms’ Clemens Food Group—the fifth largest pork processor in the U.S.—invested in Central PA for its $48 million feed mill investment project that includes a 100-unit rail loop track.
“The township has been great to work with,” said Aaron Ott, President of Country View Family Farms. “It’s very nice to work with local officials who look out for the economic stimulus in their area.”
GAF, the largest roofing manufacturer in North America, also invests in Central PA.
“GAF chose to build a second plant in the New Columbia area (Central Pennsylvania) because of the talented workforce, excellent rail service, and proximity to an interstate highway and our customer base in the Northeast,” said Andy Hilton, Chief Communications Officer at GAF.
