Australian Manufacturer Plans Factory in Dyersville, IA

The $2.2-million facility for equipment maker Digga North America will anchor Dyersville's industrial park.

An Australian manufacturing company is planning to build a 30,000-square-foot facility in Dyersville, a $2.2 million project expected to create 30 jobs.

The project, by Digga North America, LLC, was approved Monday by the Iowa Economic Development Authority Board. The approval means Digga will receive $240,000 in direct financial assistance and tax benefits, according to a press release from Greater Dubuque Development Corp.

The company will become an anchor in Dyersville’s industrial park, said Jacque Rahe, executive director of the Dyersville Economic Development Corp.

“Their decision to locate here speaks volumes for our community,” Rahe said.

Digga makes and exports gearboxes and construction equipment attachments for the earth-moving industry. The company was founded in the 1970s and today makes 79 different products, according to Greater Dubuque.
