Advisors Community LLC principal, Jim Colson, is a performance-oriented leader and collaborative problem solver. With more than 25 years of progressive experience as a site selector, city leader and CEO, Jim provides site location advisory services to leading corporate clients with a focus on the automotive, aerospace, food processing, and energy sectors.
Jim has championed many successful projects that had major economic impact, including Spirit AeroSystems’ composite assembly facility in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Hughes Missile Systems (Raytheon) retention and expansion in Tucson, AZ; USAA Regional HQ in Phoenix, AZ; recruitment of and facility development for NFL Arizona Cardinals and NHL Coyotes in Glendale, AZ. Jim was the founding CEO of the New Mexico Partnership under Governor Bill Richardson. Prior to starting Advisors Community LLC, he served as the city manager for the capital city of Kansas, Topeka.
Jim is a graduate from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI (MUP); Western Seminary,Portland, OR (MA); and, Northwood University, Midland, MI(BBA).
