Advanced Design Solutions Creating 180 Jobs In Tennessee

The Canadian auto supplier will invest $10 million in Lawrenceburg, TN: the location was selected for its proximity to OEMs.

Advanced Design Solutions Inc. will invest $10 million and create nearly 180 jobs in Lawrenceburg, TN. The auto supplier will locate its operations in part of the former Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company facility. Once it has completed renovations, the company anticipates it will start production in June 2019.

I came down to start my business here and feel like the community will grow this Lawrenceburg company. We look forward to supporting our existing customers and growing our customer base in this region.”

Headquartered in Ontario, Canada, Advanced Design Solutions manufactures steel shipping racks for the auto industry. The company also operates a facility in Middletown, OH.

“There’s no better place in America for auto companies to operate than the Volunteer State,” said Governor Bill Lee. “This investment from Advanced Design Solutions in Lawrence County is a testament to the strong workforce across rural Tennessee, and I’d like to thank the company for its commitment to creating 180 new high quality jobs.”

Since 2015, the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) has supported eight economic development projects in Lawrence County. These projects represent nearly 800 job commitments and approximately $43 million in private capital investment.

“Tennessee offers auto companies a whole host of advantages, from our deep labor pool of skilled employees to close proximity to hundreds of fellow businesses in the industry,” said TNECD Commissioner Bob Rolfe. “The creation of these family wage jobs will inject valuable salaries into the Lawrence County community, and I’m pleased to see Advanced Design Solutions make this considerable investment in Tennessee.”
