Rising facilities and towering expansion are on the horizon. West Henderson Hospital, Valley Health System’s new 150-bed facility, is scheduled to open in 2024. The $385 million, 40-acre campus will include a 37-bay emergency department as well as surgical and endoscopy suites. The facility will also provide critical cardiac care through cardiac catheterization labs and an electrophysiology lab to treat arrhythmias, with a multitude of ancillary services supporting the hospital’s care mission.

As West Henderson Hospital embarks on a new era, Henderson Hospital continues its impressive rise. In 2021, the hospital completed a $150 million expansion that encompassed four new patient floors in a new tower and 25 additional beds in the emergency department. The facility now offers a 297 licensed-bed capacity, a 52-bed emergency department, 30 private suites in its neonatal intensive care unit, plus six additional labor and delivery rooms and one dedicated maternity surgical suite scheduled for completion in 2022.

Equally significant, Henderson Hospital serves as a cornerstone for one of Henderson’s most ambitious healthcare projects: Union Village. One of the world’s first and largest integrated healthcare villages, the mixed-use development is incorporating residential, commercial, and healthcare facilities into a unified and inviting whole.

As the patient population increases, Henderson is expanding the talent pipeline. Today’s Henderson patient demographics paint an attractive picture: with the state’s highest per capita income and a population of 310,000 and growing, the city is now one of the top 100 big cities in the nation.
