Nashville Selected For iHeartRadio Second Digital HQ 

New York-based iHeartRadio digital is expanding its team into Nashville, TN, creating new jobs in the emerging tech hub.

iHeartMedia, the leading audio company in the U.S., has selected Nashville as the location for iHeartRadio’s second digital headquarters, further expanding its current New York-based digital team, creating new jobs, and building on iHeartRadio’s continued growth and innovation as the leading audio platform for consumers across the country.

A wide range of companies – from small tech startups to major Fortune 500 companies – are building offices and hubs in the Music City. Nashville’s music culture, eccentric vibe and lower cost of living continues to attract young and inspiring millennials, students and startups. The city is also is home to 20 universities and colleges with a number of highly regarded technology programs.

Since its official launch as an all-in-one digital service in 2011, iHeartRadio has grown to become the number one streaming broadcast radio platform, with six times the digital listening of the next largest commercial broadcast radio company. The digital app now has more than 135 million registered users and is available on over 250 platforms and over 2,000 different connected devices. The iHeartRadio service and brand has also expanded internationally with licensed partners in Mexico, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Located in the heart of Nashville and scheduled to open in early 2020, the facility will be home to a new hub for the iHeartRadio digital product team, which will make additional technology advances in conjunction with its teams in New York, San Antonio and Silicon Valley.
