“For almost two decades Asurion has been part of Nashville’s vibrant growth and is excited to continue building the city’s tech hub brand,” said Asurion Chief Executive Officer Tony Detter. “Our consolidation into a facility that will serve as the global product and technology hub for Asurion’s innovation and development in the heart of Nashville further cements our commitment to tech job growth and the city.”

Nashville-based Asurion is a global technology company that provides technology support solutions and protection for smartphones, tablets, consumer electronics and other devices. The company operates in dozens of countries and has 17,000 employees worldwide.

Asurion employs more than 3,100 Tennesseans in Middle Tennessee. In addition to its existing office locations in Davidson County, Asurion operates customer support centers in Antioch and Smyrna.

“I’d like to thank Asurion for its plan to create 400 well-paying technology jobs in Nashville,” said Gov. Bill Haslam. “Asurion’s significant expansion in Nashville is yet another sign that Tennessee will lead the nation in job growth and lift up the quality of life for our citizens.”

“Asurion currently employs more than 3,000 Tennesseans and it is very encouraging when one of Nashville’s largest employers moves forward with a major expansion like this,” said Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe. “The creation of 400 technology jobs is tremendous news for Nashville and the economy of the entire Middle Tennessee region. These are high quality jobs that any community would want to have. I’d like to thank Asurion for its commitment to invest and create these jobs here in Nashville.”
