Escue Wood Treated Products Growing In West Tennessee

The pressure treated wood manufacturer will create 100 jobs and invest $3.3 million in Milan, TN.

Escue Wood Treated Products, LLC will invest $3.3 million to build a new manufacturing facility in Milan, TN. With this project, the pressure treated wood manufacturer will create 100 new jobs in Gibson County. The new manufacturing operations will be capable of producing 60 million board feet of treated pine lumber per year.

“We appreciate the State of Tennessee and the Department of Economic Community Development for assisting us on this project,” said Escue Wood Vice President Nathan Escue. “This new location will provide us with the opportunity to expand economic growth in West Tennessee. I would personally like to thank Commissioner Rolfe and his staff for assisting us with this project.”

Escue Wood is one of the leading manufacturers of treated southern yellow pine wood. Founded in 2013, the company’s wood products are manufactured in Milan and distributed in five states.

“The manufacturing sector is one of Tennessee’s strongest industries, with one out of every eight Tennesseans working in manufacturing,” said Gov. Bill Haslam. “I want to thank Escue for continuing to strengthen the manufacturing industry in our state by locating its new manufacturing facility in Milan and creating 100 new jobs in Gibson County. With this announcement, we are one step closer to our goal of making Tennessee the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”

“I want to thank Escue Wood for creating 100 new jobs and investing over $3 million in Milan,” said Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe. “With this investment, the manufacturing sector in Tennessee will continue to grow and excel in our state and I appreciate Escue for taking advantage of our strong manufacturing sector and choosing to locate new operations in Gibson County.”

“I am excited that Escue Wood has located in Milan and will be creating new jobs,” said Gibson County Mayor Tom Witherspoon. “With the improving economy, the wood treatment business is booming and I want to thank the Escue family for growing its company in Milan and Gibson County.”
