Allied Dispatch Solutions will become one of the nation’s largest roadside services company by the end of 2015. The expansion is believed to be the single largest in Carter County history.

“We believe in Carter County, and we are incredibly happy to announce this expansion,” said company CEO Anthony Royer. “These new jobs will help propel us to being one of the largest companies in our sector. We couldn’t do it without the quality of the local workforce and the support and leadership shown by state and local officials.”

“Allied Dispatch Solutions is one of Tennessee’s great rural economic development stories, and we want to thank them for choosing to grow in Johnson City and Carter County,” said Gov. Bill Haslam. “We’ve embraced real change in our approach to workforce readiness with programs such as the Tennessee Promise because having a skilled workforce for employers is critical to our goal of becoming the No. 1 state in the Southeast for high quality jobs. We want to congratulate Allied on their success and thank them for their investment in Tennessee.”

“Rural Tennessee competes globally for jobs and investment. Allied Dispatch Solutions is a perfect example of that success,” said Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd. “These are jobs that will make a difference in the lives of Tennesseans, and I join the Governor in thanking the company for their decision.”

Leaders in Northeast Tennessee praised the expansion, saying the move by Allied demonstrates confidence in the region.

“Johnson City is appreciative that Allied Dispatch Solutions has chosen to invest and expand their operations here,” added Johnson City Mayor Ralph Van Brocklin. “As a community, we place tremendous emphasis on education and training.  Learning that the availability of a skilled workforce was one of the primary reasons Allied chose our community is a positive affirmation of our educational system. I believe that when other companies look critically at why Allied chose to locate its’ headquarters here they will conclude, as Allied has, that Johnson City is a great place to locate and invest.”

Economic development officials said recruitment of the Allied expansion would serve as a catalyst for other investment in the region.

TVA, Johnson City Power Board, and City of Elizabethton Electric Department congratulate Allied Dispatch Solutions on its decision to expand operations,” said TVA Senior Vice President of Economic Development John Bradley. “We are pleased to work in partnership with our local and state agencies to support existing business and industry growth in our communities.”

“We’d like to congratulate Allied Dispatch Solutions and thank them for their investment in downtown Johnson City,” said Philip Cox, Chairman, Johnson City Development Authority. “The locating of their corporate headquarters will be a catalyst in the ongoing revitalization efforts to downtown Johnson City.”
