TeleTech Holdings, Inc. has announced a new customer experience center in McAllen, TX, which will initially create more than 200 jobs in the surrounding area (with the ability to expand up to 600 positions). The center will officially open its doors in the first quarter of 2015, and will soon be hiring for a variety of jobs serving a major TeleTech client in the financial services industry. This is the seventh customer experience center that TeleTech has established in the U.S. in the last two years.
TeleTech’s new facility will provide an array of customer service experiences and multichannel communications services on behalf of the bank. The site opening follows close collaborations with key TeleTech partners in McAllen, including the McAllen Economic Development Corporation and South Texas College.
“McAllen was a natural choice for TeleTech’s domestic expansion for a number of reasons, including a strong and talented labor market and the community’s innovative and progressive attitude towards education,” said Martin DeGhetto, chief operations officer at TeleTech. “Additionally, access to McAllen’s more than 50,000 local higher education students and population growth of three times the national average create a constant influx of new talent to the local area.”
“We are very excited to work with TeleTech and are honored that they realized the perfect fit for their operation is in the city of McAllen, Texas,” said Keith Patridge, president and chief executive officer, McAllen EDC. “This is a great economic indicator of the possibilities McAllen has to offer, and we are delighted to have TeleTech contribute such a large number of career paths for the citizens of the Rio Grande Valley. This is only the beginning of a lifelong business friendship and we are going to assist TeleTech every step of the way.”
